Three Tar Heels Earn Spots In Final Fall Men's ITA Rankings

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released on Wednesday the NCAA Division I Men's ITA Collegiate Tennis National Rankings, which feature the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the conclusion of the Fall season. Players from the University of North Carolina posted strong showings in both the singles and doubles rankings.
Graduate student Ryan Seggerman was the No. 9-ranked singles player, while Seggerman and fellow grad student Brian Cernoch were the No. 18 doubles team. The duo of Seggerman and UNC freshman Benjamin Kittay, who played together for three matches early in the Fall, grabbed the No. 39 spot.
Cernoch did not play singles in the Fall and thus was ineligible for the singles rankings.
