Kane Named ACC Co-Wrestler Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL – Redshirt-Freshman Gavin Kane was named ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday afternoon following a top-10 ranked win at Virginia Tech last Friday night. He's the fourth UNC wrestler this season to bring home the award.
Kane picked up an impressive win over No. 10 Hunter Bolen on Friday night at Virginia Tech. It was tight throughout, but Kane used a takedown in overtime to earn the 3-1 upset over Bolen. The win was his fifth-ranked win of the season and the highest-ranked win of his career.
Kane currently sits at 15-2 overall and 9-1 in duals while holding an 11-match win streak.
