Men's Golf Fourth At Watersound With 18 Holes To Play

Greaser and Ford in Top Six After Two Rounds
Austin Greaser and David Ford shot 71s to lead the University of North Carolina to a 1-under-par finish Monday in the second round of the Watersound Invitational at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course in Panama City Beach, Fla.
The Tar Heels are in fourth place after 36 holes at 3-under 573. Georgia Tech leads at 14 under par, six strokes ahead of Virginia Tech. Alabama is third at 4 under, Carolina is fourth at 3 under and Clemson and Notre Dame are tied for fifth at 2 under.
Greaser is in fifth place in the individual standings at 4-under 140. Ford shot below par for the eighth consecutive round and is tied for sixth one shot behind Greaser at 3-under 141.
Gerard made a team-high four birdies today and shot even par for the second straight day. He is tied for 23rd at 144.
Alabama's Canon Claycomb followed his opening-round 67 with a 66 and holds a six-shot lead over three players.
Round three is Tuesday.
