Men's Golf Fourth After 18 Holes in Georgia

Greaser Leads UNC with a Opening-Round 70
Austin Greaser and Ryan Burnett shot under par to lead the University of North Carolina men's golf team to a tie for fourth place after the first round of the Linger Longer Invitational Sunday at the Great Waters Golf Course in Eatonton, Ga.
Carolina shot 2-under 286 and is tied with South Florida, seven strokes behind round one leader Vanderbilt, which opened with a 9-under 279. Georgia is second at 280 and Florida is third at 284.
Greaser is tied for eighth place after he made eight birdies in an up-and-down round and finished with a 2-under 70. Burnett began his round with 11 pars then shot 1 under over the final seven holes for a 71.
Ryan Gerard shot even-par 72 and Peter Fountain and David Ford both had 73s.
Four players are tied for the individual lead at 5-under 67: Clemson's Jacob Bridgeman, Florida's Fred Biondi, Georgia's Ben Van Wyk and Toledo's NJ Botha.
Round two of the 54-hole tournament is Monday.
