Men's Golf Finishes 6th at Linger Longer

Poole, Greaser Shoot in the 60s
Austin Greaser shot a final-round 69 on Tuesday to lead the Tar Heels to a sixth-place finish at the Linger Longer Invitational at Great Waters Golf Course in Eatonton, Ga.
Georgia won the team title at 28 under par, four strokes ahead of Vanderbilt. The Tar Heels shot 286-293-286 for a 1-over-par 865 total.
Clemson's Jacob Bridgeman was the individual champion, beating the field by six shots. Bridgeman shot 67-66-67 for a 16-under 200.
Ryan Burnett, a senior from Lafayette, Calif., shot 71-70-72 for a 3-under 213 to finish 16th. It was the first time this season Burnett had Carolina's best finish in a team event.
Greaser had four birdies and only one bogey to shoot 69. He tied for 22nd at 1-under 215.
Freshman David Ford shot 70, his second straight round under par. He tied for 19th at 2-under 214.
Kenan Poole, playing in the 54-hole tournament as an individual entry shot 5-under to tie for 25th place at 1-over 217.
The Tar Heels return to action March 28-29 at the Valspar Intercollegiate in Palm City, Fla.
