Scotty Selected Academic All-America

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina women's tennis standout Elizabeth Scotty has earned Academic All-America honors for the 2021-22 school year. The honor awarded by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) recognizes outstanding academic and athletic performance.
Scotty, a three-time ITA Indoors national champion, earns third team Academic All-America honors in her junior season with the Tar Heels. The Annapolis, Maryland, native also won the 2021 ITA National Fall Doubles Championship and previously brought home the NCAA Doubles National Championship title in the spring of 2021.
Scotty was one of eight tennis players listed among the three All-America teams. Three of the eight represented ACC institutions.
A political science major, Scotty earned ITA All-America honors in both singles and doubles during the 2021-22 campaign.
