Golfweek has named Ryan Gerard a second-team All-America and David Ford a third-team All-America.
In addition, UNC junior Austin Greaser was named honorable mention All-America. Pepperdine junior Dylan Menante, who announced last week he is transferring to UNC, also was an honorable mention selection.
Gerard concluded his fifth season with the Tar Heels with a top-25 finish at the NCAA Championship. He led UNC with a 70.35 stroke average, the third best single-season average in UNC history. He won the Rod Myers Invitational at Duke, tied for second at the NCAA Yale Regional and led Carolina to a tie for fifth at the NCAA Championship.
Ford tied for fifth at the NCAA Championship, the second-best finish in the country by a freshman. He averaged 70.54 strokes, fourth best in UNC history and second-best ever by a Tar Heel freshman.
Greaser and Gerard competed in the U.S. Open last week in Brookline, Mass. where Greaser was one of 64 players in the 156-man field to make the cut. He won two tournaments in 2021-22 and joined Gerard and Ford on the All-ACC and All-PING East Region teams.
