Wins Second Straight NEA Title At 19 Under
Dylan Menante broke the tournament record by four strokes to win the prestigious Northeast Amateur for the second year in a row Saturday at the Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, R.I.

Menante, a two-time All-America at Pepperdine who is transferring to the University of North Carolina, shot 19-under-par 257 to win the tournament by nine strokes over Stanford's Karl Vilips. Caleb Surratt was third at 8 under and 2022 NCAA champion Gordon Sargent tied for fourth at 6 under.
Â
Carolina's Ryan Burnett shot 66 in the final round to tie teammate David Ford and several others in a tie for 23rd at 1 over par. Peter Fountain tied for 44th at 5 over.
Â
Menante, a rising senior from Carlsbad, Calif., shot 62-64-64-67 over the four rounds. He made 23 birdies and only four bogeys in the 72-hole event. He won the 2021 Northeast Amateur at 9 under, also shooting in the 60s in all four rounds.
