Six Listed On Final Women's '21-22 ITA Rankings

North Carolina women's tennis placed five singles players and four doubles teams on the final ITA National Singles and Doubles rankings for the 2021-22 season.Â
The five ranked players listed include No. 9 Cameron Morra, No. 20 Elizabeth Scotty, No. 32 Fiona Crawley, No. 40 Carson Tanguilig and No. 43 Reilly Tran.Â
Crawley and Scotty reminded No. 2 in the doubles rankings and were joined by No. 31 Morra and Tanguilig, No. 41 Morra and Alle Sanford and No. 67 Sanford and Tran.Â
Carolina is the only program to place five of its players among the top 50, while Pepperdine, who the Tar Heels defeated in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Team Championship, led the nation with seven players in the final rankings.Â
The Tar Heels finished the year No. 3 in the final ITA team rankings with a 28-3 overall record in dual matches. UNC captured yet another Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title and won a third-straight ITA National Team Indoor Championship. Carolina spent nearly the entire spring season ranked No. 1 in the nation and earned the top overall seed at the NCAA Team Championship and advanced to the semifinals.
