Four Women Earn ITA All-America Honors
June 7, 2022 | Women's Tennis
CHAPEL HILL - Fiona Crawley and Elizabeth Scotty earned All-America status in both singles and doubles as announced by the ITA on Monday afternoon. Cameron Morra and Carson Tanguilig were also named ITA All-America in singles.
Carolina's four singles honorees were double the amount of any other Division I women's program. Additionally, Crawley and Scotty were the only pair of teammates to earn the All-America nod in both disciplines.
Crawley and Tanguilig become the 22nd and 23rd players, respectively, to earn All-America honors under the tutelage of head coach Brian Kalbas, who just completed his 19th season in Chapel Hill. Scotty has three All-America citations to her credit, while Morra wraps up her Tar Heel career with five.
The "All-American" title is given to student-athletes that earn a top 16 seed in the NCAA singles championship, advance to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championship, or finish in the top 20 of the final ITA singles rankings. The All-American status is awarded to doubles teams that earn a top-eight seed into the NCAA championship, reach the NCAA championship quarterfinals, or finish in the top 10 of the final ITA doubles rankings.
