Track & Field/Cross Country Announce Early Signees

The group includes 11 women and six men.
"We are really fired up about this incoming class across all the event areas," Miltenberg said. "We are continuing to build a great presence in the women's sprint and field events, and are definitely reloading in the women's middle distance and distance events with a great class. Our men's group is extremely strong across the board. We are keeping some of the best athletes from North Carolina home while continuing to recruit the best athletes across the entire country. This class will help us continue build on the great momentum we have in our program."
Reese Dalton (Charlottesville, Va.), Maddie Gardiner (Charlottesville, Va.), Grace Hanson (Matthews, N.C.), Cassidy Scott (Rixeyville, Va.), Julia Scrudato (Bell Mead, N.J.) and Logan St. John-Kletter (Pittsburgh, Pa.) will compete in cross country and the distance track events for the UNC women.
Signees Harley McNeal (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and Lea Spindell (Gilbert, Ariz.) are both sprinters, while Tyler Collins (Morehead City, N.C.) is a jumper, Maddy Kelly (Malvern, Pa.) is a pole vaulter, and Kate Joyce (Weston, Conn.) is a thrower.
Four of the six men's signees are cross country and distance runners: Ethan Hogan (Columbia, Ill.), Luke Liming (Cary, N.C.), Henry Strand (Birmingham, Ala.) and Knox Young (Greenville, S.C.). Donovan Calhoun (High Point, N.C.) is a sprinter and Tommy Kitchell (Bethlehem, Pa.) is a thrower.
