Eischens Joins Wrestling Program

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina wrestling head coach Rob Koll has announced the addition of Tyler Eischens to the program's roster.
Eischens, a former wrestler under Koll at Stanford, joins the Tar Heels as a projected 174-pounder.
The Anoka, Minn. native arrives at Carolina as a three-time NCAA qualifier (2020, 2022, 2023). The 2022 Pac-12 Champion, Eischens boasts a career record of 69-34, highlighted by a career best 22 victories a season ago.
In freestyle competition, Eischens was a member of the United States' U23 Greco-Roman World Team in 2023, as well as winning the 2019 US Open Junior Greco-Roman 72 KG championship.
Prior to his career at Stanford, Eischens was the 2017 AAA 138-pound state champion at Anoka High School, holding school records in career wins (209) and falls (107).
