UNC Athletics Launches New GoHeels Mobile App
December 5, 2023 | General
The University of North Carolina, its multimedia partner Tar Heel Sports Properties and SIDEARM Sports are excited to unveil an upgraded version of the official GoHeels mobile app, which is free and available now on iOS and Android.
The new app will serve as a dynamic hub for Tar Heel gameday content, including ticketing, parking & traffic information, fan experiences, schedules, shopping for official Carolina merchandise and more. It also will provide fans a customized experience including in-venue light shows, venue maps, mobile concessions, digital publications and more.
Â
In order to have continued access to digital tickets and all the latest features, current users will need to update the app on their mobile devices. Fans are invited to download or update the GoHeels app now in the App Store or Google Play.Â
Once in the new app, fans are encouraged to re-opt in for push notifications. Carolina uses app push notifications to send out exclusive gameday updates and special messages from the Athletic Department. Fans can select the type of fan they are as well as their favorite sports in order to get information tailored to their interests.
Â
Along with the recently redesigned GoHeels.com, the app focuses on highlighting key stories, videos, photos and insights, telling the Carolina athletics story in new and innovative ways from an insider's perspective.
The GoHeels app launched on the SIDEARM NextGen system, the latest iteration of SIDEARM Sports' award-winning software that promotes a superior fan experience through a fully native app that ensures users will not have to leave the app to access any content.
Â
Fans will continue to have access to behind-the-scenes, multimedia coverage of every Tar Heel team, in-game live stats, feature stories and analysis from insiders like Adam Lucas and Lee Pace, podcasts, video features, free audio streaming of Carolina games and coaches shows and much more.
Â
Fans are invited to download or update the GoHeels app now in the App Store or Google Play.
