CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Behind Kenna Raye Dark's first career victory in the circle, a one-hit complete game, the Carolina softball team defeated NC Central 11-1 in five innings on Tuesday night. It is the Tar Heels' first run-rule victory of the season.
Skyler Brooks and Annie Kate Dalton led Carolina at the plate with two hits apiece, while Dalton set a new career-best with four RBIs. In addition to five strikeouts in the circle, Dark also tallied her second career double, plating a pair of runs.
On the base path, the Tar Heels were 4-of-5 for stolen bases, with Brooks tallying stolen bags in back-to-back plays in the first inning.
