Women's 200 Medley Relay Earns All-America Status

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of North Carolina women's 200 medley relay team of Grace Countie, Greer Pattison, Skyler Smith and Ellie VanNote finished eighth to earn All-America honors on Wednesday, March 15, at the 2023 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
UNC posted a time of 1:35.01 to edge out ninth-place Stanford by 0.43 seconds, yet finished only 0.18 out of seventh place. Countie posted the third-fastest anchor leg of the race with a time of 20.99 to overtake swimmers from Tennessee, Southern California and Stanford.
On Thursday, the Tar Heels will have swimmers and divers competing in the 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, 1-meter springboard and 200-yard freestyle relay.
