Rowing Kicks Off Season At Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. - The North Carolina rowing program began its 2023 slate Saturday morning, traveling south to face Clemson at Lake Hartwell for the Carolina Cup.Â
In total, five boats competed on the day against the Tigers. The second varsity four squad finished just seconds behind the Tigers, finishing in a time of 7:57.7.Â
The first varsity eight (6:53.2), third varsity eight (7:35.0), first varsity four (7:59.93) and second varsity eight team (7:05.3) all finished close behind the Tigers in the matchup.Â
Up next, the Tar Heels head south to Florida to close the month of March and begin the new month of April, traveling to Sarasota, Fla. for the Sunshine State Invitational on March 31 and April 1.Â
