Nugent Finishes Runner-Up, Secures All-America Status At National Championship

Spokane, Wash. – North Carolina wrestler Marisol Nugent earned All-America honors in the U23 division at the 2023 USMC Women's National Championship this weekend.
Nugent secured the recognition with a runner-up finish in the 62 KG division.
Marisol would cruise the event's first two rounds, as the Boxford, Mass. product collected falls, at the 1:24 and 0:45 marks.
After advancing the semifinals, Nugent would move on to the championship match collecting a 6-5 decision over YeLe Aycock.
In the finals, Nugent would drop both matches of the best of three format, to collect runner-up honors and secure All-America status on the weekend.
