Vazquez Montano Named ACC Diver Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina's Aranza Vazquez Montaño was named ACC Women's Diver of the Week for the fifth time this season and 13th time overall on Tuesday.
She has won the award each of the past two weeks, four of the last five, five of the past seven.
Montaño split the diving events in No. 20 UNC's meet with No. 1 Virginia and No. 8 NC State. The senior won the 1-meter with a 319.40 and placed second in the 3-meter with a 321.35. The La Paz, Mexico, native registered a pair of NCAA zone scores on both dives.
She leads the Tar Heels into their final dual meet of the season Friday, Jan. 25, against Duke.
