Vázquez Montaño Wins ACC Women’s Co-Diver Of The Week

Charlotte, N.C. – On Tuesday, Oct. 28, graduate student Aranza Vázquez Montaño earned her first Atlantic Coast Conference accolade of the season. The ACC named Vázquez Montaño the Women's Co-Diver of the Week.
Tuesday's honor is Vázquez Montaño's 15th career weekly conference award.
Vázquez Montaño earned her first win of the season in 1M against Auburn University with a score of 327.45. She also finished second in the 1M against the University of South Carolina, scoring 322.13.
The North Carolina Swimming and Diving Team swept South Carolina and split the season opener against Auburn University.
Vázquez Montaño is coming off of her second trip to the Olympics, where she represented Mexico and qualified for the Olympic 3M diving semifinals.
