Women's Tennis Defeats Wake Forest, 4-0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- In its second match of the weekend, the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels (14-3, 7-1) defeated the No. 31 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (13-8, 4-3), 4-0 in Winston-Salem.
Starting in doubles play, the No. 48 tandem of Anika Yarlagadda and Elizabeth Scotty picked up a 6-3 win on court two to give Carolina the doubles point advantage. Later, on court three, Abbey Forbes and Tatum Evans clinched the doubles point for North Carolina after the duo won, 6-3.
In singles action, Thea Rabman gave the Tar Heels its second point after she won 7-5, 6-0 on court six. Next, on court three, Carson Tanguilig won 6-3, 6-1 to give Carolina its third point and position the Tar Heels within one point of clinching the match.
Finally, on court five, freshman Tatum Evans clinched the match for North Carolina after she won 6-3, 6-3.
