CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After finishing the regular season 10-5 overall and 6-3 in league play, the University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team has secured the fourth seed in the 2024 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
Securing a first-round bye, the Tar Heels will play fifth-seed Virginia in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m. ET at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
Tickets, broadcast information and the complete schedule can be found here.
Now in its second year with the expanded championship format, the ACC Tournament begins Sunday, April 21, with first round games being held at campus sites. The tournament then moves to American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte for the quarterfinals (Wednesday, April 24), semifinals (Friday, April 26) and championship (Sunday, April 28).
All nine contests will be televised on ACC Network with live studio coverage surrounding the semifinal and championship games.
North Carolina, which checked in at No. 15/18 in the latest IWLCA/USA Lacrosse Magazine polls, will be seeking its eighth league title. The program won its first in 2002 before claiming six straight from 2016-22 (2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
