Track And Field Finish Day Two With Multiple Final Qualifiers

Atlanta, Ga.—North Carolina saw several four qualifiers and four All-Conference finishers on the second day of the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

After three events, the Carolina men ranked second with 44 points, trailing Duke's 54.33 points.

The ACC Outdoor Championships will conclude on Saturday in Atlanta.

Event-by-Event Tar Heel Highlights:

Bryce Kazmaier kicked off the day for the Tar Heels, earning Second-Team All-Conference honors in men's javelin with a sixth-place finish and a throw of 198-4 (60.45m).
In the Decathlon, two Tar Heels earned Second-Team All-Conference honors: Sam Corley finished fourth with a personal best of 7424 points, and Max Stakun-Pickering took fifth.
Blaise Atkinson qualified for the finals in the 110m Hurdles on Saturday, securing the final qualifying spot.
Aaliyah Berry advanced to the 100m Hurdles final, setting a personal best of 13.54.
Spencer Williams claimed fifth in Men's Shot Put with a throw of 18.01m, earning Second Team All-Conference honors.
Andrew Regnier qualified for the Men's 800m final, while Michael Spragley narrowly missed the qualifying mark, placing ninth but earning a personal best of 1:49.39.
Makayla Paige qualified for the Women's 800m final by winning her heat.
