Eleven Wrestlers To Compete In U23 Nationals And U20 World Team Trials This Weekend

GENEVA, OHIO - Eleven North Carolina wrestlers continue the 2024 freestyle season, heading to the Buckeye State for the 2024 U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials this weekend at Spire Institute.

In total, 10 Tar Heels will represent the Tar Heel Wrestling Club in the U23 division, with Spencer Moore (61 KG) wrestling in the U20 portion of the event.

In U23 action, Marco Tocci is the lone Tar Heel competing at 57 KG, with Derek Guanajuato and Max Martin stepping on the mat at 61 KG.

At 79 KG, six Carolina wrestlers will be competing. Omaury Alvarez, Isaias Estrada, Nicholas Fea, Marcus Murabito, Nolan O'Boyle and Cade Tenold are set to compete at 79 KG. Rounding out the action at 92 KG, Cade Lautt looks to continue a successful freestyle cycle from a season ago.

The action from Ohio kicks off Saturday, with the finals slated to take place Sunday.
