Swimming & Diving Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The UNC men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been recognized as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced Monday.
To qualify as a Scholar All-America Team, teams must achieve a 3.0 grade point average for the 2024 spring semester.
The women's team posted a 3.58 GPA for the spring semester, ranking fifth among the 11 ACC qualifying teams. The men's team recorded a 3.52 GPA, ranking second in the conference.
The CSCAA also recognizes individual Scholar All-America athletes for their academic achievements. Those selections will be announced at a later date.
"The commitment to academic excellence shown by these teams is truly admirable. It's inspiring to see student-athletes excelling both in the pool and in their studies," said Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA. "The CSCAA takes great pride in acknowledging and celebrating the dedication and perseverance of these teams."
