Fords Named Preseason All-Americas (Golfweek)

North Carolina's David Ford and Maxwell Ford, both seniors from Peachtree Corners, Ga., were named pre-season All-Americas by Golfweek.
David Ford is a three-time All-America, including a first-team selection following his sophomore season in 2022-23, and was named to Golfweek's preseason first team. David is Carolina's all-time leader in stroke average (71.04), was the ACC Freshman of the Year in 2022 and ACC Player of the Year in 2023.
Maxwell Ford earned third-team All-America honors from Golfweek following the 2023-24 season. He was second on the team in stroke average at 71.19.
The twin brothers were both members of the United States 2024 team that won the Palmer Cup in July.
They led the Tar Heels to seven team wins, including the ACC Championship, and a tie for fifth in the 2024 NCAA Championship.
The Tar Heels begin the 2024-25 season this weekend in Sammamish, Wash., in the Sahalee Players Championship.
