Tar Heels Open Main Draw Play At ITA Regionals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's tennis began main draw play in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals on Friday at Chewning Tennis Center. Carolina got the day started with three wins in the doubles round of 64.
In singles, four Tar Heels secured wins in the round of 64. Alana Boyce highlighted the singles matches with her first win of the season.

ITA Regionals
University of North Carolina women's tennis is set to host the Carolina region of the ITA Regional Championships from Oct. 16-21. The Tar Heels will welcome athletes from over 20 universities to compete at the Chewning Tennis Center this weekend.
ITA Regionals will take place at 13 different regions/sites across the country. Regionals is also an opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Doubles and Singles Championships. This tournament will qualify the two singles finalists from each region while only the doubles champion at each site will qualify for the NCAA Championships.
