Softball Falls To Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – UNC softball fell to Syracuse on Friday afternoon by a score of 7-5.
The Tar Heels jumped out in front in the second inning after Raeghan Carlson drove Carlie Myrtle home from first with a double.
In the third Kat Rodriguez came through as she has all season, blasting a three-run home run to deep center field to make it a 4-0 ball game.
The Orange would rattle off the next seven runs in the third and fourth innings to go up 7-4.
Rodriguez brought in another RBI in the fifth to move her season total to 56 which is fourth most in a single season in program history. She has had 10 RBI across two games this week.
The Tar Heels will look to bounce back tomorrow at 1 p.m.
