University of North Carolina freshman Sihan Sandhu tied for third place Saturday in the individual standings to lead the Tar Heels to the No. 2 seed after three rounds of stroke play in the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky.

Sandhu, competing in the UNC lineup for only the third time this season, shot 70-68-71 for a 54-hole total 7-under-par 209. The first-year from Ashburn, Va., made only four bogeys over the three rounds. He was two shots behind the medalist Jacob Modleski of Notre Dame. Modleski birdied the final two holes and four of the last seven to win the title at 9-under 207. Florida State's Tyler Weaver was second at 8 under, while Sandhu tied for third with SMU's Zach Kingsland at 7 under.

Carolina shot 283-284-287 for a total of 10-under 854, eight shots behind Virginia. The Tar Heels advance to match play for the second year in a row and fourth time in the last five ACC Championships. UNC won the title in 2024 by defeating Wake Forest in the semifinals and FSU in the championship match.

Clemson and Florida State tied for third at 6 under, SMU was fifth at -4, Cal and Wake Forest tied for sixth (-2) and Georgia Tech earned the final spot in match play by finishing eighth at 2 over par. Louisville was ninth, three strokes behind the Yellow Jackets.

The Tar Heels play Wake Forest beginning at 9:20 a.m. Sunday in one of the four quarterfinal matches. The other quarterfinal matches are Virginia-Georgia Tech, Clemson-SMU and Florida State-Cal.

The four winners advance to the semifinal matches Sunday afternoon. The semifinal matches will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.

David Ford (70-69-73) tied for ninth place, his ninth top-10 in 11 starts this season. Grant Roscich (72-76-71) and Keaton Vo (71-76-72) tied for 36^th place at 3-over 219.

Sandhu won a non-team event at The Prestige in February and posted top-20 finishes in the last three tournaments entering the ACC Championship, including a tie for 17^th as a starter in the Tar Heel Intercollegiate two weeks ago.

Carolina has finished first or second in the stroke play portion of the ACC Championship four times in the last five seasons – first in 2021, 2022 and 2024 and second in 2025.
