Cavaliers Edge UNC For ACC Men's Golf Title

The University of Virginia won the final two matches to edge North Carolina, 3-2, to win the 2025 ACC Men's Golf Championship Monday at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky.
Freshman Grant Roscich upset 13th-ranked Ben James 3&2 and David Ford won the 17th hole to defeat Josh Duangmanee 1 up to give UNC its two points.
Paul Chang beat Sihan Sandhu 2 up in the first match, Deven Petel held off Keaton Vo for a 1-up win in the fourth match and Bryan Lee won the decisive anchor match 2 up over Maxwell Ford to give the Cavaliers their first-ever ACC championship.
Roscich won the 2nd hole with a birdie and the 5th hole with an eagle to go 2 up on James. The freshman from Glen Ellyn, Ill., chipped in for par on the 7th, made a 15-foot par save on the 15th to remain 2 up and won the 16th hole for the point.
David Ford lost the second hole, the only time he trailed in the match. He tied it on the third, and led by two holes after six but the match was even from the ninth through 14th holes. Ford won the 15th but a bogey on 16 evened the match again. He hit his approach on 17 to eight feet and made the birdie putt to go ahead for good.
Ford went 3-0 in the match play portion of the ACC Championship.
