Porras Snags Silver At Junior Foil World Cup

COSTA RICA-Â Last weekend, Cristian Porras finished as the Junior Foil World Cup silver medalist at Universidad Autónoma de Costa Rica in Costa Rica.
Entering direct elimination, Porras was the number five seeded fencer. He took down his first round opponent from Costa Rica by four. Porras improved with back-to-back seven points victories. Porras upset two higher ranked fencers before the finals as he beat No. 1 and No. 4 seeded fencers from Columbia and the United States.
