Women’s Tennis Rolls Past Boston College, 4-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 3 University of North Carolina women's tennis picked up another ACC win over Boston College Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels swept the Eagles, 4-0.
Carolina got off to a strong start in doubles action. Reese Brantmeier and Anna Frey were partnered together for the first time this season and walked away with a dominant 6-1 win. In her UNC debut, Maddy Zampardo was in the doubles lineup with Susanna Maltby. The duo clinched the doubles point for the Tar Heels with a 6-2 win.
No. 17 Tatum Evans continued the momentum with a dominant, straight-set win over Seren Agar from Boston College. The win marks Evans' 12th so far this season. The junior currently leads the team in singles wins.
No. 6 Oby Kajuru finished next with another straight-set win for Carolina.
Maddy Zampardo continued to impress in her first match as a Tar Heel. The junior downed her opponent from Boston College to clinch the match for Carolina.
UNC improves to 12-1 this season and 2-0 in ACC play. The Tar Heels will return to Chewning Tennis Center Tuesday for a nonconference matchup against NC Central at 3 p.m.
