Track Brings Home Two All-America Honors, Paige Qualifies For 800m Finals

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK -Â Colton Sands highlights the day of the 2026 Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
Sands finished fifth in the men's 5000m. Sands earned First Team All-America honors in the 5k.

The quartet of Sydney Masciarelli, Delea Martins, Reese Dalton, and Vera Sjoberg (10:53.02) picked up Second Team All-America honors while running the third fastest time in program history.
Â
Makayla Paige (2:03.36) earned one of the automatic qualifier spots in the finals of the women's 800m by finishing third in the first heat. With this result, she punched her ticket to the finals on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. EST.
Sands will return to the track in the men's 3000m finals tomorrow at 7:25 p.m, while Sjoberg competes in the women's 3000m finals at 7:10 p.m.EST. EST.Â
