Men’s Swimming & Diving Places 19th At NCAA Championships

ATLANTA – The University of North Carolina men's swimming and diving team finished 19th at the NCAA Championships on Saturday with 50.5 points. The 19th-place finish is the men's best result since it placed 18th in 2015.
Saturday saw another round of All-America performances led by Ciro Mejia, who finished ninth on the platform. Mejia scored 382.60 points and missed advancing to finals by just .05 points.
Sebastian Lunak secured another honorable mention All-America nod by tying for 10th in the 200 fly. He swam a 1:39.92 in the prelims to almost make the final.
Louis Dramm claimed the third All-America honor of the weekend in the 200 IM. Dramm clocked a 1:41.90 to finish 11th in the event.
