Megan Streicher, Ing Iadpluem and Marie Prats-Rigual each won their individual matches from wire-to-wire, leading the 12th-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels to a 3-2 win Saturday over No. 9 Wake Forest in the quarterfinals of the 2026 ACC Championship at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington.
Streicher and Iadpluem went out first and delivered the first two points of the match. Streicher won four of the first eight holes and defeated Anne-Steere Den Dunnen, 5&3. Iadpluem beat 14th-ranked Macy Pate, 3&2 to give UNC a 2-0 lead.
The Demon Deacons won the next two points and the match came down to the final point between Prats-Rigual and 38th-ranked Chloe Kovelesky. Prats-Rigual won the first two holes, led by three after eight and held on for a 1-up victory. She closed the match on the 18th hole with a par.
The Tar Heels advance to the semifinals where they will play second-seed SMU. Duke and top-ranked and No. 1 seed Stanford in the other semifinal.
Both semifinals will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
