April 23, 2026 | Men's Tennis
Sophomore Chris Xu from the University of North Carolina has earned third-team All-ACC honors in singles for the 2025-26 season, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Thursday afternoon.
In the aftermath of last week's ACC Championship, the conference released its All-ACC teams for singles and doubles and named its individual award winners.
Xu manned the No. 1 singles position for the Tar Heels throughout the 2026 dual match season. He posted a 12-15 overall record in 2025-26, including a 9-13 mark in dual competition and a 9-11 record at the No. 1 slot against some of the top competition in the nation.
A two-year starter for Carolina, has a career singles record of 28-22.
He also was a 2025-26 starter in doubles, teaming with junior Niels Ratiu to go 17-7 overall, including 10-5 in dual matches and 5-3 in ACC regular season action. Xu and Ratiu earned an NCAA Tournament bid last fall after winning the ITA Carolina Regional tournament.
