CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-America women's tennis team Tuesday afternoon. After another standout year in the classroom, Reese Brantmeier was tabbed First Team Academic All-America and Team Member of the Year. The Tar Heels also had another student-athlete on this year's team. Tatum Evans was named to the second team.
Brantmeier earned the Team Member of the Year nod for the second-straight year. The senior recently completed her studies in exercise and sport science and studio art with a minor in global cinema. She boasted an impressive 3.956 GPA to conclude the spring semester.
The Wisconsin native is no stranger to academic success. Brantmeier recently received the Elite Scholar-Athlete award for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site for each NCAA championship. Brantmeier was the 2025 ACC Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year and made the ACC Academic Honor Roll each season.
Evans joins the second team after an impressive semester on the court and in the classroom. The junior was a mainstay at the no. 2 and 3 spots in the lineup helping the team reach their second consecutive Elite Eight. In the classroom, Evans is pursuing a degree in Media and Journalism and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
