General Info: One of the top players in college golf...held down the top spot in the lineup in his first two years as a Tar Heel...selected to 2001-02 PING All-America Second Team...named to the All-ACC Team in 2000-01 and 2001-02...2002 ACC Individual Champion...has won four tournaments so far in his collegiate career....one of this year's tri-captains.
Fall `02: Won two of Carolina's three tournaments this fall...captured the individual title at The International Collegiate in St. Andrews, Scotland, and tied for medalist honors at The Ridges Intercollegiate...also tied for eighth place at the Carpet Capital Classic...in Bray's nine rounds in Carolina's three tournaments, eight were par or below (four were par and four were sub-par)...concluded fall with 70.56 stroke average...one of 24 college golfers selected to play in the 28th annual Western Refining Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas, where he tied for sixth place.
2001-02: Played in all 14 of Carolina's tournaments...named to the 2001-02 PING All-America Second Team...selected to the 2001-02 All-ACC Team...posted eight top-10 and nine top-20 finishes...captured the individual title at the ACC Championship...fired an 11-under par 205 total to stave off a pair of Georgia Tech players by two strokes for the championship...led throughout the tournament at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C., carding 14 birdies and only three bogies...tied for medalist honors at The Prestige in Palm Desert, Calif., in the fall...other top-10 finishes in the fall - tied for third place at the Mason Rudolph Championship, tied for fifth place and the Duke Golf Classic and placed 10th at the Carpet Capital Classic...other top-20 finishes in the spring - tied for fifth place at The Intercollegiate, tied for seventh at the Seminole Intercollegiate, tied for 10th place at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship and tied for 17th at the NCAA Championship...presented the Andy Hacskaylo Award with the team's low stroke average.
2000-01: Selected to the 2000-01 All-ACC team...played in all five of the Heels' fall tournaments...posted three top-20 finishes...tied for 10th place at the Duke Golf Classic, tied for 18th place at the Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate and tied for 19th at the Ping/Golfweek Preview...was the low Tar Heel in each of the final four tournaments of the fall campaign...played in all eight of Carolina's spring events...carded two top-10 finishes and five top-20 finishes...posted a fourth-place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate and tied for eighth at the Cleveland Golf/ASU Invitational...tied for 11th place at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational and The Intercollegiate...tied for 12th place at the Cavalier Classic and tied for 22nd at the ACC Championship and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship...presented the Andy Hacskaylo Award with the team's low stroke average.
Amateur: Semi-finalist at 2002 U.S. Amateur, defeating Ryan Moore, U.S. Publinks champion along the way...champion of 2002 Cardinal Amateur where an eagle on the 14th hole spurred his victory...posted sixth-place finish at 2002 Dogwood Invitational...played for the United States in the 2002 U.S./Japan matches at The Glen Club in Glenview, Ill., where the Americans held on for a two-point win...that marked the seventh straight victory for the Americans who lead the series 20-6...posted a fourth-place in the 2001 Eastern Amateur and finished third in the 2001 Cardinal Amateur...placed third at the AJGA Thunderbirds International Junior Amateur...top-10 finish at Eastern Amateur...AJGA First-Team All-America in 1999 and AJGA Second-Team All-America in 2000...1999 N.C.
