General: A superb local talent who is a major contributor to the Tar Heels in the backstroke events.

2003-04: Showed impressive potential in her first ACC Championships...dropped almost three seconds off her preliminary time to win her final and take 17th in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:03.66...also won her final heat to finish 17th in the 100-yard backstroke with a season best 57.86.

Prep: Graduated from Chapel Hill High School in June 2003...was the Pac VI Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year in both 2001-02 and 2002-03...was MVP of Chapel Hill High team in 2002 and 2003...swam for seven years with the North Carolina Aquatic Club where she was coached by UNC assistant Randy Erlenbach...named the girls 15-18 age group MVP for NCAC for winter 2002-03.... also received Dan Powell Award in the 2002-03 winter.
