2012-13: ACC Freshman of the Year, the first Tar Heel to win that award since its inception in 2005 • Qualified for the NCAA Championships and scored a pair of wins • Compiled a 33-7 record at 125 pounds, including a perfect 14-0 record in duals and 5-0 mark in ACC duals • Defeated No. 7 Matt Snyder of Virginia and No. 4 Jarrod Garnett of Virginia Tech on consecutive days in January • Had seven pins, including a team-best fastest pin of 21 seconds • ACC runner-up at 125 pounds • Took first at the Wolfpack Open.
