General: Three-time returning letter winner who has been a top breaststroker and IMer during her entire career at UNC...was a tri-captain of the 2008-09 team and is one of two women's team captains this season...on UNC's 2009-10 preseason depth chart, she is ranked second in both the 100-yard breast and the 400-yard IM and third in the 200-yard breast as well as the 200-yard IM.
Long Course Highlights: Qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100-meter breaststroke, 200-meter breaststroke, 200-meter individual medley and 400-meter individual medley.
2008-09 (Junior): Was one of the three women's captains for the 2008-09 season...won the 200-yard breaststroke at the Gamecock Invitational in a time of 2:17.81 as well as taking the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:20.22...placed eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke at the ACC Championships in a time of 1:02.89...went a career best in the prelims with a time of 1:02.01, a time which places her third in school history...went a personal best time of 2:00.76 in the 200-yard IM at the ACC Championships putting her at fifth place in school history...placed 12th in the ACC Championships in the 200 IM, seventh in the 200 breast and eighth in the 100 breast.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Set a career best time in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Bulldog Invitational with a time of 1:02.22, putting her in third place in school history...her time in the 200-yard breaststroke of 2:13.21 also placed her third in school history...her time in the 400-yard individual medley at the Tar Heel Invitational put her in 10th place in school history...named the ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week on January 15, 2008 after winning three individual events and swimming a leg in the winning medley relay in a double dual meet against Clemson and Rutgers... finished fourth at the ACC Championships in the 400-yard IM...was a member of the 400-yard medley relay team that finished third at the ACC Championships...finished fourth at the ACC Championships in the 200 breaststroke...finished 19th in the 200-yard breaststroke at the 2008 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships with a time of 2:13.45.
2006-07 (Freshman): Competed at the NCAA Championships in both individual and relay events...reached NCAA "B" qualifying standards in each of her three individual events at the ACC Championships...took second in the 200-yard individual medley with a career best time of 2:01.51, the fourth best individual performance in school history...also set a career best in the 400 IM with a clocking of 4:20.25 which landed her third place in the championship final...took third in the 200-yard breaststroke at ACCs...was named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week on January 22, 2007...her season best 1:03.21 in the 100 breast left her tied for fourth in school history...named an All-Conference Performer in the 200 breast, 200 individual medley and 400-yard individual medley.
Prep: A June 1, 2006 graduate of St. Joseph By The Sea High School...member of swimming team there for four years...captained her club swimming team...member of U.S. Junior National Team in 2005...competed in the 2005 Junior Pan Pacific Championships...a Top eight finisher at nationals in the breaststroke.
