General: Outstanding freestyle sprinter who is Carolina's top returnee in the 50 and 100 freestyles...three-year letter winner...three-time All-ACC selec-tion...NCAA qualifier each of the last two seasons...is a member of five different relay teams which currently hold school records (200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay).
Long Course Highlights: Qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 50-meter freestyle.
2009-10 (Junior): Honorable mention All-America on two relays at NCAAs...led off the 200 free relay team that placed 15th and swam the anchor leg on the 200 medley relay team that took 10th place...individually she placed 19th in the 50 free and 21st in the 100 free at NCAAs...All-ACC selec-tion...placed second in the 50 free at the conference meet in 22.41...was seventh in the 100 free and 16th in the 200 free...swam on three relays at ACCs that earned spots on the podium...swam the free leg on a 200 medley relay that was second, led off the 200 free relay that was third and an-chored the 400 free relay that placed second...won the Jamerson Memorial Award as the most valuable swimmer on the squad.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Excelled in the regular season as well as the postseason...was a triple event winner in the dual meet against Maryland, winning the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyles and swimming on the 200-yard medley relay that won...was named the ACC Women's Performer of the Week on November 11, 2008 after her stellar performance in that meet...named the ACC Women's Performer of the Week on January 13, 2009 after being a triple event winner in the dual meet against Clemson...earned ACC Women's Performer of the Week honors a third time on February 3, 2009 after being a triple event winner against Duke...swam on four relays which set school records at the ACC Championships...was a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay that broke the school record in a time of 7:08.07 while placing second at ACC Championships...she placed third in the 50-yard freestyle at the ACC Championships in a time of 22.41 which put her second in school history, just .01 off the school record time...was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay that broke the school record at ACCs in a time of 1:30.24... she placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.34, moving her into fifth place in school history...placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 49.25 after going 49.18 in prelims, a time which put her in second place in school history ...swam the freestyle leg of the 400-yard medley relay that placed third at ACCs in a school record time of 3:36.79...led off the 400-yard freestyle relay team which set the school record in 3:17.10 ...named All-ACC in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles...qualified for the NCAA Champion-ships...swam a career best time at NCAAs in the 100-yard freestyle at 49.08, moving her into second place in school history...was one-tenth of a second off her best time in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.51 at NCAAs...swam on the 200 medley, 200 freestyle, 400 medley and 400 free relays at NCAAs.
2007-08 (Freshman): An All-ACC selection...set career best times of 22.77 in the 50-yard freestyle and 50.27 in the 100-yard freestyle at the ACC Championships...her time in the 50-yard freestyle claimed third place at the ACC Championships and put her in fourth place in school history...her time in the 100-yard freestyle put her at ninth on the all-time UNC Top 10 list and it claimed sixth place at the ACC Championships...swam a leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay at the ACC Championships...that relay finished second with a time of 3:18.82, setting a school record in the process...member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that set a school record of 1:31.09 at the Bulldog Invitational, breaking the mark that was set the week before at the ACC Championships.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer is being a part of a team that is like a second family to me. I love competing and giving my all for the benefit of the team.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is him pushing me to do my best when I need it most.
3. Since my last competitive season, the aspects of my training I've worked on the most are being more confident in my abilities and going out harder in races and getting stronger.
4. My best friend on another college swimming is Brian Wilson at Texas.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is being able to step up when I need to.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academics, I like to spend time doing puzzles, watching movies, going to the beach and relaxing!
2. On a long bus trip, I'd like to watch Remember the Titans.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be volleyball because I'm tall and would probably fit in best.
4. If I received free concert tickets via a radio or Internet promotion I would love to see Passion Pit.
5. The one hobby I have that people would be surprised to know is completing gigantic puzzles that I use to decorate my apartment.
Section #3: Food
1. After a big meet I'd love to see a buffet spread that included Pierogies, artichokes, stuffed peppers and Italian ice.
2. My favorite beverages are root beer and grape soda.
3. I'm allowed to enter a room with unlimited snacks, one room has the salty stuff, the other sweet stuff? Which room do I enter and why? Sweet, because I LOVE candy!
4. My favorite food made by a relative are my Grandmother's Pierogies. They are handmade, buttery and delicious.
5. On my birthday, I'd love to be treated by my friends to dinner at The Melting Pot.
Section #4: Personality
1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I would go to the 60's: I love tye-dye, Peace & Love!
2. My most prized personal possession is a turquoise ring from my mom.
3. My iTunes library includes thousands of songs of all genres, lots of Jersey Techno and absolutely no country!
4. In a perfect world where making money was not a consideration my dream job would be interior designer.
5. The most interesting person I've met in my time at UNC is Smitty, because he's just great.
