Career Best Times: 1:53.69 in 200 free; 4:47.18 in 500 free (5th in school history); 9:51.86 in 1000 free; 16:25.86 in 1650 free (7th in school history); 4:21.32 in 400 IM.
General: Three-year letter winner who is an essential part of the Tar Heel distance corps...was the most improved swimmer on the team in `09-'10, moving into the Top 10 on the UNC all-time depth chart in two events...not only an outstanding performer in the pool, but in the classroom as well...member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll all three of her years at Carolina...inducted into Phi Beta Kappa as a junior.
2009-10 (Junior): Won the Jamerson Award as the most improved swimmer on the squad...at the 2010 ACC Championships, she placed eighth in the 500 free, 11th in the 1650 free and 15th in the 400 IM...had an excellent dual meet season...won the 1000 freestyles versus East Carolina and Mary-land...had wins in the 500 and 1650 against Clemson...named to the 2009-10 ACC Academic Honor Roll...earned membership on the Dean's List in both semesters of the school year.
2008-09 (Sophomore): Went a career best time in the 1000-yard freestyle at 10:02.71 in the dual meet win over Duke...earned her career best time in the 500-yard freestyle at 4:51.24 in the Tar Heel Last Chance Meet...was less than two seconds off her personal best 1650-yard freestyle time at the Tar Heel Last Chance meet...made the Dean's List for both the fall and spring semesters...a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2007-08 (Freshman): Set career best times of 4:56.43 in 500-yard freestyle and 4:28.90 in the 400-yard IM at the ACC Championships...set another career best time of 10:07.76 in 1000-yard freestyle in the dual meet against Minnesota...at the Nike Cup, she had a career-best time of 16:46.96 in the 1650-yard freestyle... named to 2007-08 ACC Academic Honor Roll...earned honors on the Dean's List in both semesters of the school year.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer is spending a lot of time with some really great people and swimming in exciting meets.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is Rich's jokes during practice.
3. Since my last competitive season, the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is staying focused when I race!
4. My best friends on another college swimming team are Casey Ridge at Virginia, Sarah Smith at Clemson, Anita Beck at Ohio State and Alex Miller at Ohio State.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is persistence.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academics, I like to spend time with my friends! Also, cooking, scrapbooking, volunteering and watching other sports.
2. On a long bus trip, I'd like to watch Mean Girls.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be cross country, because I'm not coordinated enough for anything else.
4. If I received free concert tickets via a radio or Internet promotion I would love to see Tim McGraw.
5. The one interest I have that people would be surprised to know is I love the Cincinnati Bengals, but I don't think that's a surprise anymore.
Section #3: Food
1. After a big meet I'd love to see a buffet spread that included chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, strawberries and bananas.
2. My favorite beverage is water.
3. I'm allowed to enter a room with unlimited snacks, one room has the salty stuff, the other sweet stuff? Which room do I enter and why? Sweet, because chocolate is in all of my favorite foods.
4. My favorite food made by a relative is chocolate chip brownies (my Mom's!).
5. On my birthday, I'd love to be treated by my friends to dinner at Maggiano's or Teak in Cincinnati.
Section #4: Personality
1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I would go to Ohio sometime between 1976 to 1981 to see what my parents were like in college. Or right now, anywhere outside of the U.S. because I want to go abroad!
2. My most prized personal possession is my cat, Shelby.
3. My iTunes library includes 2,975 songs, a little bit of everything.
4. In a perfect world where making money was not a consideration my dream job would be volunteering at a children's hospital.
5. The most interesting person I've met in my time at UNC is Katura Harvey.
