Career Best Times: 1:42.73 in the 200-yard butterfly; 1:44.01 in the 200-yard individual medley; 3:41.72 in the 400-yard individual medley; 2:00.85 in the 200-meter individual medley; 4:15.63 in the 400-meter individual medley; 1:58.33 in the 200-meter butterfly.

Summer 2016: Competed for South Africa in the Rio Olympic Games in the 400-meter individual medley, taking 17^th place, and missing the semifinals by just one spot.

At University of Arizona: Three-time All-America at University of Arizona…CSCAA Scholar All-America honoree.

2014-15: Earned Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention honors…had the fastest time on the team in the 200 IM (1:44.74), 400 IM (3:42.79) and 100 back (47.90)…held the second fastest time in the 200 back (1:43.70), 200 free (1:37.22) and 200 fly (1:44.45)…at NCAA Championships, he took third in the consolation final of the 400 IM at 3:42.83, earning All-America Honorable Mention honors, 34th in the prelims of the 200 IM and 32nd in the prelims of the 200 fly…received an All-America Honorable Mention accolade in the 400 medley relay, finishing fourth in the consolation final at NCAAs…at Pac-12 Championships, he finished fourth in the 400 IM (3:43.59), first in the “B” final of the 200 IM with his season-best time and second in the “B” final of the 200 fly (1:44.98), earning NCAA “B” cuts in all events…finished third in the 200 IM at the Texas Invitational, second in the 400 IM, sixth in the 200 back and first in the “B” final of the 200 fly with his season-high time…against Texas/SMU, he took first in the 200 IM and third in the 200 free.

2013-14: Was named to the Pac-12 second-team All-Academic Team…earned first-team All-America honors in the 200 fly where he finished sixth at the NCAA Championships with a time of 1:43.05…also earned honorable mention All-America nods in the 200 IM and on the 800 free relay…had the top time on the team in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM as he set personal bests in all three events.

2012-13: Finished sixth in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships…was part of the sixth-place 800 free relay team at the NCAAs…won the 400 IM with a time of 3:57:51 in his first meet at Arizona… earned a victory in the tri-meet against Texas and SMU in the 200 fly with a time of 1:44.38 and earned a top ten time in Arizona history with the 400 IM with a time of 3:46.29.

Club: South African national champion…swam for Mandeville Dolphins club team…coached by Dean Price.
