The resources and information available on this page are intended to provide a foundation for our Department's collective efforts to manage risk, ensure a safe environment for everyone, and foster an atmosphere of collective support for UNC student-athletes.
All student-athletes are reminded of the importance of following the Department's Incident Reporting Guidelines in the event of any potential threat to safety or security on campus or involving anyone affiliated with UNC.Â

These guidelines are intended to help you report information if you see or become aware of suspicious behavior or circumstances, something which may threaten the safety or security of an individual (including harassment and discrimination), something which may threaten the safety or security of the University, or something you suspect to be a crime. In the event of an imminent threat, call 9-1-1.

C. Elizabeth Hall:
As Director of Title IX Compliance, Elizabeth has primary responsibility for coordinating the University’s efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination in all operations of the University, as well as retaliation. She leads the University’s response and compliance efforts related to Title IX, coordinates resources for those affected by sexual harassment and sexual violence, organizes training and awareness efforts, and monitors the implementation of the University’s discrimination and sexual violence policy.

The Department of Sports Medicine routinely monitors the weather and has, in conjunction with the Department of Athletics, established protocols to promote safety in the event of inclement weather. Anyone can remove himself or herself from a situation at any time and without fear of repercussion if he or she believes his or her safety is threatened by the presence of severe weather.
