2023 Football Student Ticket Policy
Students interested in attending football games must submit an entry into each game’s ticket lottery. Winners of the lottery will receive one ticket for the game. This lottery process will begin 10 days before the day of the game at 10 a.m. and students will have 48 hours to enter. Late entries will not be accepted.
For example, the Appalachian State game will be played on Saturday, September 9th. The lottery period for that game will begin Wednesday, August 30th at 10 a.m. and close on Friday, September 1st at 10 a.m. Email notifications will be sent to all students – those who have won the lottery and those who have not – by EOB the following Tuesday, September 5th (Remember to check your spam folders!). Lottery winners will receive an email alerting them that their mobile ticket is ready for download approximately 24 hours prior to the game. Entering the lottery does not guarantee that you will receive a ticket.
Please note the timing of your entry will have no bearing on your chances of winning a ticket; all entries received during the 48-hour entry period will have an equal chance of winning. Students must be full-time and pay athletic fees to be eligible for student tickets.
Students with tickets must enter Kenan Stadium at Gate 5 starting 1 ½ hours prior to kick-off by having their mobile ticket scanned AND showing their UNC One Card (or valid electronic equivalent) for the 2023 season.
Student tickets are only transferrable to other full-time, athletic fees-paying UNC students. Student tickets are not eligible for resale, nor may they be included in ANY transaction, financial or otherwise, or any other arrangement whereby such tickets are remunerated for profit or anything of value. Any prohibited transfer, barter, or sale of these tickets is strictly prohibited and will be considered a violation of University policy and will render the ticket void. Offender(s) of this policy shall be subject to additional sanctions as determined in the University’s sole discretion including, but not limited to, revocation of all ticket privileges.
Student Guest Pass
Full-time, athletic fee-paying UNC students can purchase student guest passes to the Minnesota, Syracuse, Miami (FL), Virginia, and Campbell football games, while inventory remains. Student guest passes are on sale through your student ticket account.
Student guest passes vary in price based on the game and seat location. Students will be able to receive one student ticket and purchase up to five student guest passes, pending availability. Please note that all tickets (including the free student ticket) will have an assigned seat location and WILL NOT have access to the student section.
To complete your order, you must request one student ticket and purchase at least one student guest pass. If you try to only request one student ticket, you will receive an error message. Because the purchase of a ticket includes a free student ticket, the student will be taken out of the general lottery for the game(s) which they have purchased tickets. All tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis and are based on availability for the select game(s).
