Derek Harrison enters his first season as a graduate assistant in Carolina's
strength and conditioning program.
Harrison comes to Carolina from South Carolina State where he was a four-year lettermen at linebacker. Harrison earned all-conference and Division I-AA All-America honors last year.
A native of Orangeburg, S.C., Harrison was a high school teammate of UNC defensive tackle Jonas Seawright. Harrison is single and lives in Chapel Hill.
