Jenny Olson joined the staff of the UNC Academic Support Program in 2002 and works as a learning specialist for the football team.

A native of Southboro, Mass., she earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Vermont and worked in the school's Disability Services department from 1992-99. She was a special education teacher at Chapel Hill High School from 1999 until joining the UNC staff. She has received training in personal coaching through The Coaches Training Institute.

Olson, a gymnast from age 5 through her teenage years, is married to Eric Olson. They have two dogs, Elway and Maple, and a cat, Truro.
