General - Breziner returns to the Tar Heel line-up after a season-ending injury forced him to red-shirt last season... Earned a three-set victory in fall singles play over John Monk of Georgia State... Also saw doubles action with partner Trystan Meniane... Earned two wins in brief fall action last season before the injury... Expected to provide depth to the Tar Heels' line-up throughout the spring.
As a Junior - Had a 4-1 record at #6 singles and a 2-1 record at #5 singles... Finished with an overall record of 13-16... Reached the semifinal round of the NC State Classic in fall 1998... Made it to the Round of 16 in the 64-player draw at the USC Fall Invitational... Played in the Rolex Region II Qualifying Tournament and the ACC Indoor Championships... Had a 6-5 doubles record with David Cheatwood, including two wins at the #1 slot... Breziner and Cheatwood were 3-1 in region play and made it to the quarterfinal round of the ITA Region II Qualifier in Chapel Hill.
As a Sophomore - Transferred to UNC from Pepperdine University... Completed a 3-5 fall season for the Tar Heels, participating in the Carolina Classic, Southern Collegiates tournament and the Rolex Qualifying competitions... Posted an overall record of 6-7 in singles, with a record of 3-2 in the spring dual matches... Biggest win came at #6 singles, defeating Jack Whigham of Florida in three sets... With freshman David Cheatwood, posted a doubles record of 2-1 in the Rolex Qualifying competition.
As a Freshman - Started for part of the season at the No. 6 position for Pepperdine University, who recorded a 22-7 overall record in 1997 and finished 12th in the nation, falling to Santa Barbara in the NCAA Region VIII Championships... Breziner was the West Coast Conference champion at No. 6 singles... The Waves also won the West Coast Conference Championship... Breziner finished with a 12-8 overall singles record and did not play doubles... Amassed a 7-5 mark at the No. 6 spot.
Prep - One of the top-ranked junior level players from Florida while in high school... A doubles finalist at the 1996 Florida Open... Participant at numerous national junior events, including the Eddie Herr Tournament and the Orange Bowl Tournament... Former singles and doubles champion at numerous Florida junior events... A second-team all-state selection at North Miami Beach Senior High School, a state finalist in singles play and the recipient of the Coaches Award.
