General: Named captain for the 2004-2005 season...a versatile swimmer who specializes in the butterfly and individual medley...will enter the year in the top four in three events on the UNC depth chart...is also a strong distance freestyler...a three-time returning letterman for Carolina...swam for coach Dave Westfahl at the Mequon Area Swim Team...a summer 2000 junior national championships finalist in the 400 IM....as a club swimmer he was most adept at the 400 IM, 200 back and 200 fly.
2003-04: Turned in another solid showing at the ACC Championships...took seventh in the 400-yard individual medley at 3:57.85...finished 15th in the 200-yard butterfly...was also 15th in the 200-yard individual medley at 1:52.96.
2002-03: At the 2003 ACC Championships, he placed 11th in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.90 and was 15th in the 400-yard IM with a time of 3:59.83...he also swam the 1650-yard freestyle where he finished 22nd...selected for 2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2001-02: Selected to spring semester Dean's List...2002 ACC Academic Honor Roll choice...ACC Championships finishes included 16th in the 400 IM, 20th in the 500 free and 21st in the 200 fly.
Prep: Graduated on June 17, 2001 from Homestead High School...swam for four Wisconsin state division I championship teams (1998-2001), specializing in the 200 IM and 500 free...won the 500 free crown his junior and senior years of high school and added a 200 IM title his senior year...was also team captain his senior year...graduated with high honors...member of the Mu Alpha Pheta math club...also selected to attend Badger Boys State Leadership camp.
Personal: Given name is Eric James Mohr...was born on May 5, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wis...is one of four sons of Jim and Aline Mohr...his older brother, Steve, swam at Carolina, graduating in 2003...younger brother Mark is a freshman on the Tar Heel team...his biggest sports thrill was winning four straight high school state championships...loves eating hamburgers...athletes he most admires are former Tar Heel football star Lawrence Taylor and Deion Sanders...his hobbies include lifting weights...double majoring in business and political science.
