Hunter Hojnacki joined the North Carolina Swimming and Diving program in August 2018. During his first year and half with the UNC program, Hojnacki served as the volunteer assistant, prior to being hired as the Director of Operations in December of 2019. Hojnacki has also served as the interim assistant coach since June 2020.

As a volunteer with the Tar Heels, Hojnacki worked primarily with the middle distance and sprint groups and assisted with multiple NCAA qualifiers and team record holders.

Hojnacki joined the North Carolina Aquatic Club staff in August 2018 where he oversees the developmental Senior and 13-14 groups where he has developed Junior National, Sectional, Sr. State and Age Group State qualifiers. Hojnacki also assist with the senior program that has developed swimmers to the Olympic Trial and Junior National levels. He serves as the primary Breaststroke coach for the program as well. Previously, he also worked as the Lead Development Coach for Tucson Ford Aquatics Club where he helped guide the process of expanding the competitive program in Tucson to other satellite pools.

He wants to thank his swimming mentors Paul Stafford, Clifton Robbins and Steve Brown who have helped him greatly to guide him throughout his coaching and swimming career.Â
A 2018 graduate from the University of Arizona, Hojnacki spent his final three years as a part of the Arizona Swimming and Diving team. Hojnacki received an undergraduate degree with a BS in Information Sciences. Hojnacki is a native of Chandler, Az and is the third of John and Michelle Hojnacki’s four sons. Hojnacki has two older brothers, Zachary and Dylan, and a younger brother, Skyler.
